Anthony "Tony" F. Talamini, 93, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at Mount Olivet Chapel. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, In the Breyley Suite at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment will be held Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Tony was born March 15, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA, He grew up at Girard College in south Philadelphia for orphaned boys, as his father was killed when he was 6. He played soccer for the school and earned the nickname, Jocko. After Tony graduated from Girard College, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Labrador and Greenland until he was transferred to Carswell Airforce base in Fort Worth. He stayed in Texas where he remained till moving to Nocona with family. Tony worked at Van Horn and then moved to Industrial Park Supply until they closed. He sold machine tools and parts to Bell Helicopters, LTV Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, Menasco Aerospace and Northrop Grumman. Tony was an avid golfer, and he was a member of the PAGA (Pan American Golf Association), in Fort Worth. He played at all the local courses like Rockwood, Z Boaz, Meadowbrook, and Pecan Valley. This led him to becoming a Marshal at the yearly Fort Worth Colonial Golf Tournament and he did that for 26 years, he always looked forward to this each year. Being marshal, he would get to play in the Marshals tournament that they would have for them at Colonial. Being from Philadelphia, he was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan which was a contention among his kids as most were Cowboys fans. This always made Thanksgiving and Christmas fun and interesting with everyone ribbing dad if the Cowboys were winning. But any and all Philadelphia teams he cheered on as that was his home, and he fully supported them. Tony was Catholic, a parishioner of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills. Attending mass regularly over the years and was also a member of the Knight of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fortunato and Helen Talamini and two siblings, John Talamini (Florence) and Carol Pagano (Charles). He is survived by four children, Andrea E Cannon (David), Michael Anthony Talamini (Debbie), Tina Marie Talamini (Colleen), and Christopher Frances Talamini (Marie); ten grandchildren, Matthew Talamini, Mark Talamini, John Talamini (Rachel), Kayla Talamini (Dylan Pate), Jerod Netherton, Cloe Talamini, Fortunato Talamini, Eva Marie Talamini, David Cannon Jr., Kody Cannon and Amy Robitzsch (Steve); nine great-grandchild; and one sister, Helen Ward (Richard) and many nieces and nephews.
