I was Ski´s sergeant during part of his time in patrol at Central Precinct. I supervised him on Central B´s Flex Team and for a year while at Central CSU. There is so much I can say about him, but what stands out the most are two things. (1) Ski always had a great sense of humor and he used this to get through every shift, whether it was a good night or a bad one. (2) I never worried when Ski was working and I knew my night would go much better just knowing he was there. He made great decisions and I trusted Ski in everything he said and did. I will miss him always.

Me and Ryan were partners / SRO´s at Glencliff HS for a couple years. He was a great guy and love his son!! He also loved competition shooting and often tried to get me to join him. I will miss our conversation!! He will be missed by all who knew him!!! RIP my Brother in Blue!!

Ski came to East as a rookie in 2011 and rode with me several times. We both started 2012 as officers in central after rebid. We both went to flex, CSU and to the SRO unit and stayed together til he was promoted. We worked together for several years. He loved his son and often asked for advice about him. Very good guy. - Bryan Moore

I learned that he loved his son. He talked about how he can´t wait to get off work and go spend time with his boy. I have two boys of my own so I can relate how much he loved his son

We went out to lunch one time while at work. It was a Mexican restaurant. He got his meal first. By the time I got my meal his meal was completely devoured. Ryan can eat. He doesn´t mess around with food

I remember when Ryan came to the MNPD School Resource unit. I, Pooh Phantakou trained him at his assigned school which was at Glencliff high school. I got the opportunity to spend a month with him and got to know him well. He was a character. He was soft spoken and had a kind heart for kids.
