Charles Vincent Rainey, aged 60, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Lakewood South.
Born in Jackson, MS, on February 18, 1963, Charles was a devout Christian who cherished moments with family and friends. A proud graduate of Magnolia Academy in 1981, he played on three high school state baseball championship teams. His athletic journey continued at Belhaven College, where he was a pitcher. Following this, he pursued a long career in dentistry after attending medical school. Notably, he embarked on a mission trip to the Philippines, sponsored by Richard White, during his medical studies.
Charles is survived by his mother, Alma Tean Rainey, his son, Chipper Rainey, and daughter, Tiffany Rainey-Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Charles Rainey, Sr.
