I am devastated to hear of Chuck´s passing. He was a fierce advocate for his members. As a Boston City Councillor and now as the Clerk of the Criminal Court I had the honor of knowing Chuck and working with him to support his members. My deepest sympathy to his family and his Bricklayers on this terrible loss.

I worked with Chuck for many years during my years in elected office. He was the consummate gentleman always looking at all sides of an issue. Of all the building trades I was fortunate enough to work with, no one fought harder for their members than Chuck did. Beyond that, we created a friendship and it was one that I valued and will continue to treasure. My sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and members of Local 3 Bricklayers and Allied Tradesmen.

I knew Chuck in his role as a public servant, when he was on the Board of Directors at Massport. He was a greatly admired colleague, and the whole Massport community-airport, seaport, neighborhoods, workforce-benefited from his leadership and devotion. May he rest in peace.
