Charles “Chuck” Ray, 78, of Pilot Mound, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at his home.

A come & go Celebration of Life for Chuck will be held Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., at the McGraw Senior Citizen’s Center in Ogden. Charles Eugene Ray was born on December 15, 1946, in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Newton and Florence (Beeler) Ray.

Chuck was a graduate of Boxholm Consolidated High School. Following his education, Chuck was drafted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era.

On June 22, 1973, Chuck was united in marriage to Dianna Scott at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden.

Chuck was employed as a fire man at Lehigh Sewer Pipe & Tile for several years until it’s closing and then worked at Nestle Purina until retiring. He enjoyed mowing the lawn and spending time outdoors, scrapping copper, tinkering in the garage, and time spent with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sue Buckley, grandson, Logun Buckley, daughter-in-law, Dawn Allard, two sisters, Jan Engleen and Carolyn Ulrick, and his dog Hendrix.

Survivors include his wife Dianna Ray of Pilot Mound, IA; children, Christopher Allard of Clearwater, FL, Deana Bochmann of Owatonna, MN, Tammi (Allen) Stephenson of Dayton, IA, and Amanda Ray of Pilot Mound, IA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, (one great grandchild due to arrive in March of 2026); his sister, Wanda Blair of Dayton, IA; brother, Keith Ray of Boone, IA; as well as several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Charlie.
