CHARLES I. REAGAN (“Fireball”) age 83 of Alcoa, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 after a brief illness. Charles was a born again Christian. He was a graduate of Sevier County High School and attended The University of Tennessee. Charlie (Chick) was a veteran of the US Air Force serving as an electrician in the 9th Field Maintenance Squadron with the Strategic Air Command in the Air Refueling wing at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, Idaho. “Fireball” as his coworkers at the plant called him, retired from Tennessee Operations of Alcoa after working as an electrician for 39 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Reagan and Pearl (Delozier) Reagan; sister Louise Reagan Atchley and her husband Blaine Atchley; mother-in-law and father-in-law Hester A. (Sweet) Greene and Roy H. Greene, Sr; brothers-in-law Elmer A. Greene MD of Kingsport, Tennessee; Gerald Mc. Greene of Kingsport, Tennessee; and nephew James (Jim) B. Atchley, Jr. of Sevierville, Tennessee. Chick is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Thelma A. (Greene) Reagan. Charlie is also survived by a special niece Becky Atchley Busmann and her husband Tom; brothers-in-law Roy H. Greene Jr. and wife Betty of Church Hill, Tennessee; Joseph (Joe) N. Greene and wife Dot of Kingsport, Tennessee; Wayne E. Greene and wife Shirley of Johnson City, Tennessee; sisters-in-law Jayne Greene of Kingsport Tennessee; Judy Greene of Kingsport, Tennessee; and a number of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to caregiver Suzi Rudder and the staff of Maryville Healthcare. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Harrison-Chilhowee Baptist Academy, 202 Smothers Road, Seymour Tennessee 37865. Graveside service and interment 11:30 AM Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Moreland officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
