Charles H. “Chuck” Roberts III, 81, of Albany, GA, passed away at his home on November 21, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 am at Floral Memory Gardens. Dr. Price Corr, Dr. Clifford Dunn and Chaplain Dwayne Johnson will officiate.

Chuck was born in Portsmouth, VA to Charles H., Jr. and Annie Roberts. His father served in the Military and they moved often ending up in Tampa, FL. Chuck moved to Tifton, GA and was working at Belk’s Department Store where he met his future wife, Ann Gibbs. They married in 1966 and moved to Albany, GA in 1967. Chuck and Ann owned and operated John Ross Jewelers for thirty six years.

Chuck was extremely active in the Albany community serving on The South Georgia Boy Scouts Council, was a member of The Albany Kiwanis Club and The Corvette Club of Albany. He was also a devoted member of Porterfield Methodist Church, was a supporter of The Albany ARC and served on Stadium Authority since 1981.. He was also a member of Doublegate Country Club and Stonebridge Country Club. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Roberts.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Roberts of Albany, GA, Alex (Kay) Johnson of McDonough, GA, Amori Johnson of Fayetteville, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
