Charles Frederick "Fritz" Rogers

Charles Frederick "Fritz" Rogers passed away peacefully at his home in Roswell, Georgia, on June 1, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on July 23, 1944, in Greenville, Mississippi, Fritz was the son of Helen Kulicka Rogers and Neal Doniphan Rogers Sr., both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Neal Doniphan Rogers Jr.
Fritz is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Judy Huston Rogers, originally of Clarksdale, Mississippi. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and shared adventures. Fritz was the proud father of two daughters, Kathryn Rogers Grogg (married to Kevin Grogg) of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Sarah Rogers Hamlin (married to Brendon Hamlin) of Mills River, North Carolina. He was also a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Rogers Ryan of Madison, Mississippi.
A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Fritz earned his degree in Civil Engineering in 1966. While at Georgia Tech, he was a brother in the Beta Psi Chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity. His career began as an engineer on an oil rig off the coast of New Orleans, Louisiana, before he moved to the Atlanta area to pursue work in subdivision development and later road construction. During his career, he had a hand in managing the construction of the Georgia 400 extension into the city in 1993. Fritz retired in 2006 from Blount Construction in Marietta, Georgia.
Fritz was a man of many passions. He loved traveling, visiting museums, and exploring historical sites, always eager to learn and experience something new. A prolific reader, he could often be found with a book in hand, immersing himself in stories and knowledge. Throughout his life, Fritz was a devoted dog and cat lover, and a steadfast supporter of animal rescue efforts, owning and caring for many pets who brought him great happiness. Above all, Fritz treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, whose interests and passions he wholeheartedly supported.
