Charles William Salmon, age 85, of White Oak, PA, died on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was born in Wilkinsburg, PA, on June 7, 1940, and is the son of the late Charles A. and Alice Mae Jacobs Salmon.
This past June 9th marked 64 years that Charles spent with his devoted wife, Shirley Chandler Salmon; sons, John Charles (Alicia) Salmon of Pittsburgh, PA; and Stephen Harold Salmon of Seymour, TN; eleven grandchildren, Zachary (Jackie) , Rachel (Matt), Abigail (Diego), Esther, Eleanor, Isaac, Margaret, Lea, Nathaniel, Hanna, Kaitlyn (Ryan); and two great-grandchildren, Archibald and Araceli.
Charles served the Church as a minister for 65 years. He spent his time preaching, which he truly loved, at many different churches throughout the country. Charles also loved spending time fishing.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brother, George Salmon.
A gathering will take place at 6:00 p.m.at the First Christian Church, 1025 McCleary St., McKeesport, PA 15132 on July 24, 2025 until services at 7:00 p.m. Raymond Beard, Minister, will officiate.
Arrangements are being cared for by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177).
Remembrances may be made in Charles’ name to the International Disaster Emergency Services, 355 Park 32 West Drive, Noblesville, Indiana, 46062.
