Fort Ashby, WV-
Charles "Harry" Seeders, 90, of Fort Ashby, passed peacefully in his sleep at home – just as he had hoped – on March 4, 2024.
Born October 25, 1933, in Fort Ashby, he was the son of the late Dudley and Mayme (Delawder) Seeders.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Seeders; a sister, Jane Llewellyn; and, a brother, George Keith Seeders.
He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Peggy Ann (Adams) Seeders; his son, Tim Seeders and wife Lynne; his granddaughter, Sydni and husband Will Thorn; great granddaughters, Harper and Charlotte; his sister Ruth Pike; niece, Linda Bailey and her son Ryan; sisters-in-law, Shirley Elkins and Nancy Gentzler; and many nieces and nephews.
Harry retired from Caterpillar with 36 years of service. He had worked in the Shipping Department.
After retirement, he had a great love of the land that had him cutting wood, gardening, and canning. He was especially proud of painting and restoring his two tractors. Harry enjoyed his retirement by working every day except Sundays. He adored his granddaughter Syndi and took her to church with him. Harry helped his children, Kimberly and Tim, build their dream homes on the farm.
Harry wanted his son, Tim, to take care of him in his last years. Tim quit work and took very good care of him at Harry's home for seven years.
There will be a private service with burial at Fort Ashby Cemetery.
