Kenneth "Kenny" James Harrison, 53, of Cumberland, formerly of Thomasville, NC, died November 11, 2025 at UPMC-Western Maryland.
Born October 21, 1972 in Baltimore, MD, he is the son of David J. Alger and the late Irene (Harrison) Poffenburger.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Johnny Poffenburger; siblings, Robert Broyles, Jerry Harrison, Kevin Alger, Missy Harrison, and Laura Winter.
Kenny graduated from high school in Sykesville, MD.
He had been a carpenter.
While living in North Carolina, Kenny attended Clear Vision Church.
In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and deer hunting.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Patricia Alger; siblings, David Alger and wife Angela, Ricky Alger, Brian Alger, and Stacie Alger. He also has many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at On Fire Ministries, 477 Eastern Avenue, Cumberland, on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor David Lindsay officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
