Michael Smith Obituary
Michael Raynard Smith, 72, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at home. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his dog, Lilly Rose.
Born November 19, 1952, in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph Junior Smith and Leona Pearl (Rexrode) Smith.
Mr. Smith was a retired engineer for CSX. He graduated from Keyser High School in 1970. He had an Associate Degree of Science from Potomac State University, a Bachelor Degree of Science from Shepherd College, and a welding certificate from Ohio State University.
Surviving are his wife, Diana Lee (Morin) Smith; two children, Amanda Lee (and husband Isaac Cessna) and Aaron Michael Smith.
At Mr. Smith's request, his body will be cremated and there will be no visitation or service.
His family would like to thank UPMC-Western Maryland Dialysis Center and Hospice Care for everything they have done for Michael.
