I had the pleasure of working with Charlie for over 25 years at Parks and continuing the friendship after his retirement. Charlie cared for others and demonstrated compassion, especially those who may be considered underdogs. He was always there to support, often with humor and always with empathy and optimism. I enjoyed hearing stories of the shenanigans and adventures he shared with his siblings and friends growing up on Clark Street in East Toledo. Charlie loved Mary and his family beyond measure, frequently speaking of accomplishments and sharing in the joy. When you were with Charlie you would learn something about every person you encountered. He would draw complete strangers into a conversation. After ten minutes you felt as if you knew them for years. (More than one meeting got a late start!) Charlies was a man of faith who lived his faith daily. He is and will be greatly missed. God Bless Charlie, Mary and the entire family. May peace be with you until you meet again.

I remember the 1st time I meet Charlie and Mary. I broke down on the corner, and God took me to their house. In talking to them, I found out he was Mike and Mary's brother. They helped me, and I was so scared because they were strangers. By the time I left them, I was so comfortable. I never saw them again. I send my best wishes and prayers to the whole family.

Dear Sheehy family. So sorry to hear about Charlie. I vividly remember last time I talked to Charlie, we reminisced about all the strike out games we played at Good Shepherd. It was me and Charlie against my brother Gary and John Zackel. WE had many fun times. Charlie was a GREAT guy.

I remember sitting with Charlie and Mary in the stands watching our boys wrestle for Stritch. He was an outgoing person with a smile and kind words for everyone. Condolences to Mary and the family.
