Charles A. Silcox, age 71 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. Funeral Service will be Monday, January 3rd at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, January 2nd from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Monday, January 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Silcox was born September 6, 1950 in Smith County to the late William L. "Bill" Silcox and Mary Givens Silcox. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Steve Silcox and J. R. Silcox. He is survived by wife of 51 years, Deborah Rittenberry Silcox of Gallatin; sons, Charles "Brents" Silcox (Rae Lynn) of Gallatin and Randall Silcox (Courtney) of Gallatin; daughter, Diane DeeDee Silcox of Gallatin; brothers, Kenneth Silcox of Gallatin, Gary Silcox (Terri) of Savannah, GA, and Johnny Silcox (Pat) of Hendersonville; 11 grandchildren, Cam Maxey (Racheal), Micah Burnley, Markenzie Bohanan (Tra), Mike Burnley (Myra), Bailey Silcox, Brayden Silcox, Dylan Silcox, Zack Silcox, Brady Silcox, Ally Silcox, and Emma Belle Silcox; and 7 great grandchildren, Cashton Maxey, Coen Maxey, Layla Walker, Trevor Walker, Ariel Walker, Tycen Alexander, and Bailey Alexander. Mr. Silcox served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Assembly of God, the VFW, and the American Legion. Mr. Silcox worked for the Sumner County Highway Department and the City of Gallatin for several years. He enjoyed restoring cars and loved fishing with his brothers.
