Charles Lloyd "Smitty" Smith

Charles Lloyd "Smitty" Smith, age 90, of Germantown, Ohio, passed away Sunday March 16, 2025 at home. He was born in Miami Township on June 1, 1934, son of the late Lena (Anslinger) and Jesse W. Smith. He was a life member of Emmanuel's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germantown. Smitty was a licensed auctioneer for 51 years. He along with his son Kevin ~ Co-owned Smith Auctions in Germantown for the past 27 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Phyllis J. (Phelps) Smith in 2018; and 3 sisters Marjorie Smith, Virginia Kemper, and Evelyn Day. Smitty is survived by his son Kevin Smith; his daughter and son-in-law Susan & Rick Ennis; 3 grandchildren Eric (Dani) Ennis, Kelly Ennis, Amy (Garrett) Ennis-Reifschneider; 3 great-grandchildren Willow, Wyatt Ennis, and Bryce Reifschneider; numerous nieces and nephews, the auction crew, and many great friends. A Visitation will be held 5 – 7 p.m., Friday March 28, 2025, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday March 29th.
