Charles 'Wayne' Sohm

Charles “Wayne” Sohm, age 79 of Paint Rock, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2026. He was a graduate of Bearden High School, class of 1964. Wayne proudly served in the United States Army and retired from United Parcel Service after 30 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, he became a full-time beef cattle farmer and loved to work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles William Sohm and Patricia Sohm; and his in-laws, Bob and Della Blazier.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Sohm; children, David Sohm (Lee Ann), Jeff Sohm (Erin), and Janiece Henley (Jimmy); grandchildren, James and Cody Eggert, Tommy and Kala Hardin, Nico and Kallie Reinhard, Jake and Leah Warwick, Jake and Morgan Henley, Eli Henley and Seth Henley; great-grandchildren, Leo Reinhard, Earl and Pepper Eggert, Eastin and Brinley Sackett, and Haddon and Harvard Henley; and special nephew Adam Turner.

The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Judes.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM at The Church in the Wildwood Cemetery in Paint Rock with Pastor Wayne Peace officiating.
