CHARLES LEE SPEARS, 69, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born February 9, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Clarence and Martha Spears. Also preceding him in death were nephew, John Vanhorn Jr.; niece Christina Spears; and special friend whom he considered a son, Anthony France. Charles was the Pastor of Rock of Salvation Church and the owner of CS Heavy Equipment.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah Spears; two daughters, Wendy (Joshua) Jackson, and Hannah Spears (Deshawn Taylor); grandchildren Victoria Holley (Chase Topping), and Lantz Holley (Hannah Ferguson); and great granddaughter Heidi Jo Topping, all of Lavalette, W.Va.

Also surviving are two sisters, Colleen (John) Vanhorn, and Marybeth (Timothy) Walker, of Ashland, Ky.; one brother Clarence (Gilda) Spears of Louisa, Ky.; and a host of family, friends, and special customers, too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Herbie Stallard officiating. Burial will follow at Dock's Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
