Charles E. Stypulkoski, a lifelong resident of Beacon, passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2025. He was 94 years old.
Born on February 5, 1931 in Beacon, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Miller Stypulkoski. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. Charles retired as a lab technician from Texaco Research Center in Glenham after 32 years. He married the former Patricia O'Dell who predeceased him on October 29, 2014.
He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed camping, and bowled in several local bowling leagues. In his spare time, he loved tinkering and took pride in fixing televisions as a side job when needed.
Charles is survived by his four children, Edward M. Stypulkoski and his significant other, Marguerite Meara, Margaret Stypulkoski, Adam P. Stypulkoski and Amy Stypulkoski; his grandchildren, Luke J. Robinson and significant other, Kayla Drake, Jake T. Robinson, Shane C. Robinson and Greyson Stypulkoski; his great granddaughter, Cora L. Robinson; his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Patricia Stypulkoski, he was predeceased by all 6 of his siblings.
A private graveside service with military honors at St. Joachim Cemetery will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Hudson Valley Hospice or to Castle Point VA Medical Center.
