A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home 2201 Airline Drive Bossier City, Louisiana, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Charles Randolph Taylor, Jr. was born on January 2, 1944, to Charles Randolph Taylor and Doris LaNita Walker Taylor in Monroe, Louisiana, and went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Randy was an avid ham radio operator and loved to attend ham fests and meet with his ham radio buddies. He loved to grow lemon trees and give his family and friends lemons, insisting they make a pie and share it with him. He also loved his Boston Terriers and always had them by his side over the years. Randy was a master welder who owned his own welding company. He later worked and retired after 20 years as a welder at Beaird Industries. He enjoyed gardening and plants of any kind. He had a gift for growing anything he attempted.

Randy will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but he will forever be in their hearts.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Judy Bass Taylor; his mother, LaNita Walker Taylor, and his grandparents, Luther and Jewel Walker. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Charles "Chuck" Taylor and wife, Konnie, LaNita Clark and husband, Randy, and Cynthia Cox and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Luke Taylor, Katelyn Willis, Kelsey Willis, Teaya Free, Christina Clark, Hannah Ammons, John Randall Clark, Cameron Clark, Matthew Broussard, Taylor Broussard, Justin Cox, Chase Cox, and 14 great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Arlie Prothro for helping take care of Randy.
