Mr. Charles Winferd Thompson

Charles Winferd Thompson, 89, husband of the late Patricia Holland Thompson, of Seneca, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Mount Dora, FL, Mr. Thompson was the son of the late John Oliver and Clara Harper Thompson. He served as Utica Elementary School's Principal and Seneca High School's coach during his employment within the School District of Oconee County. Mr. Thompson was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, serving on multiple committees and past deacon boards.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his sons: Chuck Thompson (Mary) of Rock Hill, SC and Todd Thompson of Seneca, SC; daughter: Kim Thompson Sullivan (Jeff) of Pendleton, SC; brother: James "Jimmy" Thompson (Sue) of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren: Charlie Sullivan, Craig Sullivan, Jonathan Thompson, Zac Thompson, and Kevin Thompson; and great-grandchildren: Ezra Sullivan, Holly Sullivan, and James Thompson.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his brother: Harper Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church, with entombment to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Trinity Baptist Church.
