Charles Joseph Virgil Jr., 83, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died suddenly Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Berkeley Township, NJ. Born in Orange, NJ, he lived in Lanoka Harbor for many years and Fort Myers, FL for 5 years before moving to Port St. Lucie 2 years ago. He was a Sales Representative for Mountain Millwork in Bayville for 8 years before retiring in 2014. Charles was a veteran of the US Navy, and member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Fort Myers Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed all sports, including football and Yankees baseball; was very handy with electronics; and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren who affectionately called him "Poppy". Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles J. & Phyllis (DeToma) Virgil; brother in law, Michael Colondrillo; and niece, Janice Colondrillo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Virgil; son, Charles J. Virgil III; daughter and son in law, Denise & Scott Guest; grandchildren: Amanda Guest, and Justin Guest; sister, Joan Colondrillo; brother and sister in law, Louis & Annette Virgil; and many loving nieces & nephews. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The ARC of Monmouth County Janice Colondrillo Memorial Fund, 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07712 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Avenue, Ste. 1802, New York, NY 10001. Oliverie Funeral Home, Manchester, is entrusted with arrangements.
