Charles Walker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hilliard Funeral Home, Fairway Crematory & Memorial Gardens - Van on Oct. 31, 2023.
Charles Bradley "Brad" Walker of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Canton, Texas, died at the age of 64 at Christus-Mother Francis in Tyler, Texas, on October 28, 2023. Brad is survived by his mother Shirley Reynolds Walker Johnson of Canton; sisters Patti Walker Tabraham (Jeff) of Canton, and Jennifer Johnson Moses of Tyler; sons James Lee Walker (Reagan) of Melissa, and James Daniel Walker (Hilda) of Tyler; daughters Heather Walker Boswell (Cody) of Lindale, and Crystal Walker of Wills Point, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents J.B. and Juanita Reynolds, Jimmie Walker, and Earlene Walker Reynolds; father Jim Pat Walker; sister Tina Walker Bryant; stepfather Rodney Johnson.
Brad was born on November 26,1958 and raised in Canton, Texas. He attended school in Canton. He was previously a farmer in Van Zandt County, and until his passing was an owner-operator for Martin Gas.
As a child Brad was fascinated with tractors and trucks foreshadowing his occupations of a farmer and truck driver. He spent his young adulthood growing produce and delivering it all over the region. Brad was mostly known for his long, entertaining stories, which he loved to repeat often. Food was his love language, and never met an eggplant he didn't like. But the true loves of his life were his grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday November 3, 2023 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, 9734 FM 1255, Grand Saline TX 75140.

Brad was one heck of a man, I loved his stories, I have to day thank you to him and the family, if it wasn't for Brad I wouldn't be where I am today, from driving together at Delek and him teaching me the ins and outs of propane he helped me get where I am at Targa, had it not been for this man and his stories and knowledge he was never scared to share. We are so blessed by him.... Rest easy driver you made one hell of road to follow.

Respectful,

Josh Alanis
