Charles F. Walla, age 94, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was born on October 21, 1930, in West, Texas, the son of Albina (Marak) and Joseph Walla. Following his childhood in West, Charles attended Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Reserve Officers Training Corp and earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering. After several years as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force, Charles embarked on a long engineering career that took him and his family all over the world before settling in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Daly Walla; daughter, Amy Catherine Walla, and her children Luca and Liliane; and son, Andrew James Walla, and his wife Allison and their children Charles Jr. and Henry.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, December 6, 2024, at Pax Christi Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at 3:30 pm, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
