Charles C. Walton, Sr. of Ladonia, TX passed away from this world and entered his heavenly home on March 13, 2025. Charles was born on April 13,1940 to Marcus and Lois Marie (Williams) Walton in Memphis, TN. He was a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Charles was a proud US Army Veteran. While stationed in Germany, Charles found a love for music and joined an award-winning US Army Band called “The Rebels”. Charles proudly served as the City of Bonham’s Wastewater Plant Supervisor for many years. Upon retirement, Charles went on to gain more wastewater classifications to instruct new plant operators and managers for success across Texas and Oklahoma. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marcus Walton Jr., sister, Shirley Corter, close cousin Sandra Carpenter, daughter Karen Mata, and grandson, Scott Lane Mata. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 46 years Sharon Ursery Walton, his 7 children, and a full quiver of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Charles on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00A.M. at First Baptist Church of Ladonia.
