Charlie had a variety of interests that brought joy to his life. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved immersing himself in old western films and old “white and black” shows. Most importantly, he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, attending their events, and being an active participant in their lives. Great Granddaughter, Peyton, brought a smile to his face during every visit
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wardenburg; daughters, Karla (Frank) Manley and Keri Wardenburg; son, Carl (Melanie) Wardenburg; three grandchildren, Alec (Hannah) Wardenburg, Wesley Wardenburg, and Dylan Wardenburg; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Wardenburg and Baby Wardenburg (Due April 2026); and a brother, Tom (Rose) Wardenburg.
