Connie Wardenburg, age 75, of Eldon, MO passed away on June 22, 2025 at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on April 3, 1950 in Warrensburg, MO to Gordon and Helen Shackelford.
Connie worked in the real estate profession at the Lake of the Ozarks since 1983. She has been involved with the Missouri State Professional Standards Board for many years and also numerous other board committees and positions and earned various awards throughout the years. She and her late husband, Larry Wardenburg, owned Lifesyle Properties / Reece Nichols Realty for many years where she forged many lifelong relationships throughout the lake area. Her most recent position has been the acting Broker for Keller Williams Lake Ozark Realty.
Outside of her work she loved spending time with her family on vacations, especially camping and snow skiing. She also enjoyed entertaining friends and family during the holidays. She had an artistic flair and enjoyed designing flower arrangements, candle making, and gourmet cooking with Larry and the kids. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eldon and leaves behind many cherished friends.
Connie is survived by her daughters Shannon Braun of Eugene, MO and Kari Robbins and her husband Daniel of Marion, AR; her grandchildren Darin Braun and his wife Emily of California, MO, Amber Braun of Raymore, MO, Haley Braun of Columbia, MO and Patrick Rath of Marion, AR; and great grand children Amari and Palmer.
Connie is also Stepmother to Sandy Wardenburg Waggett of Lake Ozark, MO, Chris Wardenburg and his wife Erin of Littleton, CO, Jeremy Wardenburg and his wife Alana of Fulton, MO, and Kim Morski and her husband Jim of Denver, CO; and step grand children Ava, Cole, Brody, James, Claire, Rosemary, Gloria, Pearl, Kyle, Garrett, and Charlie.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Larry R. Wardenburg of Eldon, MO, her parents Helen and Gordon Shackelford of Warrensburg, MO, and son in law Shawn Rath of Lee's Summit, MO.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Eldon, 209 S. Aurora St., Eldon, MO, with a Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Carcenoid Cancer Foundation in Connie's name.
