Charles William Warren, born on May 12, 1949, in Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, in Oxford, North Carolina. He was surrounded by his loving and devoted family at the time of passing, having joined his Lord and Savior.
A proud member of the "Gospel Ambassadors," a gospel band, Charles lived a life marked by his passion for music and his unwavering faith. He pursued an associate's degree and later built a successful career as an Electrical Machine Mechanic, retiring from Revlon.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Nancy Ashe, and their daughters—Ashley Warren and her husband, William Sosbe; Andrea Warren; Robin Warren; Jacquelyn Garr and her husband, Edward Garr; and Jennifer Wilcox. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren. His faithful companion, Barney, was also a source of joy and comfort in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy James Warren and Janice Penice Custer Warren, as well as three siblings.
Family, friends, and those whose lives were enriched by Charles are invited to celebrate his life. Visitation will be held on November 16, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hester Baptist Church in Oxford, North Carolina. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the same location. The address for Hester Baptist Church is 6581 State Highway 96, Oxford, NC 27565.
Charles William Warren will be remembered for his kindness, love of music, and the deep faith that guided his life. His legacy will continue through the heartfelt memories of those who loved him dearly.
