Charles H. Watson was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on October 7, 1940. His parents Ethel and Robert Watson (both deceased), moved to Cleveland, Ohio later in 1940, where he grew up with his brothers and sisters: Willie J., Jessie James, Robert Jr., Eddie B, Earl, Norma Jean Sykes, and Barbara Jean Smith.
Charles met and married Patricia. They had four children, Sabrina, Barbara Ann, Charles Eric who preceded him in death in 1991, and Jason Robert.
Charles was a successful businessman for many years with C. Watson Tucking, hauling loads of cars from all over different areas. When he retired, he was working at the National Telephone Supply Company, where he worked with a few family members until he called it quits.
In his past time and early years, it was all about cars. Racing and building fast cars and hanging out with his many friends that were into cars was one of his favorite things to do. As he got older, he built a couple more cars in the backyard with his brother until he decided the last one was too fast and he put up his racing shoes. Then his new favorite thing to do was fish. Charles always fished, but being retired meant more fishing. He went every weekend, sometimes twice and competed with family to see who caught the most and telling fisherman tales. We were looking forward to getting him back on the water this summer, but God had other plans. Now he is looking over us all and he will be with us all, wherever we are as his spirit lives on in all of us.
Charles departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2024. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Patricia Watson; two daughters, Sabrina Deon Craig (Donald Craig) and Barbara Jean Watson; one son, Jason Robert Watson (Taneika Watson); grandchildren, Rhymel, Ladidra & Dontez, Tiara, Henry, Dezhon, Tyrion & Charles "Lil Chuck", Jayona, Ryan & Jason Jr.; great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
