My fathers brother and my uncle. What a wonderful man he is to me. He and Aunt Martha were responsible for my upbringing and my Christian values. I love them both and thank the Good Lord for the influence they provided to my life. I will always remember them as the finest people of this world and am so thankful I will see them again in heaven. My sincere love goes out to both David and Debbie, my first cousins, as they experience this loss of their father. Love you guys, Cousin John Watt, Jr. May the Good Lord bless and keep you.

Brother Charles served SHUMC twice; the first time when my children were teens; the second time he filled in between pastors. He was one of my favorites and I was so pleased when he came back the second time following a disastrous appointment. He was what we needed to help us recover. I enjoyed Martha too, and made her wonderful potato soup many times. Just thankful they were part of my life.
