Charles R Wheatley, Jr. entered into rest on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jean Pruitt Wheatley, his father, Charles Raymond Wheatley, Sr. and his niece and goddaughter, Leslie Marie Cooper.
Charles was a graduate of Valley High School and a retired dispatcher and administrator of nearly 40 years with the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District. After his retirement he moved to warmer weather in sunny Florida.
Charles is survived by his sisters, Melinda Kelly (Stephen), Marsha Parker (Tom), Rosemary Prather (Gary) and brothers, John (Gina), James (Chong Mi), Stephen (Donna) and Dennis (Pam), with 10 nephews, 7 nieces, and an abundance of great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 7, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions- Southwest Louisville Chapel
A Mass service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky followed by an inurnment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
