Charles Anthony "Cheddy" Wigginton, born on March 2, 1976, in Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the age of 49. A cherished father, son, brother, and friend, Cheddy leaves behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Growing up in Paragould, Cheddy attended Ridgecrest High School, where he graduated in 1994. His passion for learning led him to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Arkansas State University, paving the way for a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant. Cheddy owned Wigginton and Associates tax firm and was also known for his expertise at EKW Advantage Business and Tax Specialists in Little Rock, where he was a valued member of the team.
A devoted sports enthusiast, Cheddy was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He never missed a game and could "call the Hogs" with the enthusiasm of a true devotee. His passion extended beyond the realm of sports; Cheddy had an immense love for music and cherished attending concerts, relishing all genres from the classic artists of the 60s and 70s to eccentric performers of today.
Cheddy was committed to his community as well. He served on the board of directors for River Fest in Little Rock, fulfilling the important role of event accountant, responsible for bringing in many of the festival's musical performances over the years. Additionally, he created lasting memories with friends through his love of duck hunting, where laughter and camaraderie were abundant.
Cheddy is survived by his sons, Alex and Kellan Wigginton of Springdale; parents, Cindy and Doug Wigginton of Paragould; brother, Teddy Joe (Amber) Wigginton of Paragould; and nephews, Ryder and Axl Wigginton of Paragould, who will forever treasure the time spent with Cheddy.
In honor of Cheddy's life, family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Heath Funeral Home, beginning at 11:30 AM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Drs. Marc Reeves and Emil Turner officiating. Cheddy will be laid to rest in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chad McIlvoy, Josh Honeycutt, Dwayne Shirley, Mark Rhodes, Jimmy Binkard, and Tim Maddox. Honorary pallbearers will be Mika Thompson, Axl Wigginton, and Ryder Wigginton.
As we reflect on the joy and warmth that Cheddy brought into our lives, we invite all who knew him to join in remembering a vibrant spirit who touched many and whose memory will live on in our hearts.
