Charles “Charlie” "Junie" Raymond Wolfe, Jr., age 98, of Shiremanstown, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 21, 2025. Charlie was born on Tuesday, November 1, 1927, in Mechanicsburg to the late Charles Raymond Wolfe, Sr. and Lavina (Shover) Wolfe. In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his siblings: Paul Wolfe, Harold Wolfe, Helen May, and William Wolfe.
Charlie’s survivors include his wife Dorothy “Dottie” L. (Snyder) Wolfe of 57 years; his son: Dr. Charles R. Wolfe, III. and his wife Kaylyn, their two children, Tristan and Carly of Mechanicsburg. His daughters Belinda Dellinger, Rebecca Hench, Stephanie Fisher, Kimberly Uphold; His stepsons Randy Kinsey, Michael Kinsey and Tom Kinsey; and his 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Charlie attended Mechanicsburg Area High School. In a testament to his patriotism, Charlie left school to serve in the Navy during World War II and the Marines during the Korean War. After many dedicated years as a flooring installer, Charlie retired from Kirby’s Remodeling, Inc. in 1992. His hobbies included woodworking, watching college football and watching western movies. Charlie, a devoted supporter of Mechanicsburg Wildcats often attended football games and other sporting events to cheer on his son and more recently, his grandchildren. A weekly ritual for Charlie was dining with friends at Mission BBQ, where the staff became like a second family to Charlie. He will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
All are welcome to join Charlie’s family at his viewing on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating. Charlie’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service. Burial will follow the reception in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill, where military honors will be presented by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
