Charles K. York, age 65, of Norwood, died peacefully on August 28, 2025. He was born on August 24, 1960, to the late Green and Vera (Ruby) York, in Berea, KY. Charles was a 1978 graduate of Jackson County High School and served four years in the U.S. Army. He worked for Metro Container for approximately 27 years before it closed. He then worked on the shipping and receiving docks at XPO until his retirement in 2023. Charles loved music festivals, water parks, and fireworks. His friends and family will remember his extremely generous nature and how he always took care of others before himself.

He leaves behind his sisters, Shirley Boggs, Lexington, KY and Sheila Hartsock, Tyner, KY; niece, Jennifer Oster; nephews, Darren Boggs, Brent Boggs, Glen York, Chad Hartsock, and Adam Hartsock, as well as a host of cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donald York, Norwood, OH.

Visitation will be held from 10:30–11:30AM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Crossroads Church Oakley, 3500 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45209. A funeral service will follow at 11:30AM officiated by Pastor Richard Kerr.

Burial with military honors will take place at Spurlock Cemetery, Tyner, KY at 4:00PM, with Bro. Jason Moore officiating.

Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday between 9:00-10:30AM.
