He was a member of St. Paul Church McKee, a graduate of the Jackson County Schools and EKU. A veteran of the U.S. Army and spend his working career with the U.S. geological survey and Three Architectural Engineering Firms in Lexington. In 1966, he married Jeanette Huchinson (who preceded in him death) and had three children: John M. Moore, Paige Peel and Kevin Moore who survive him along with two grandsons: Cody Birch and Bryce Hoagland, and one sister, Ina Parker, and one great granddaughter Josie Birch.
He was preceded in death by one sister Helen Moore.
Funeral Services for Mac Moore will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel in McKee. Burial will follow at the Liberty Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 5 from 6P.M.-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

The local D.A.V. Jack Welch Chapter #165 will be conducting honors at 12:30 Saturday at the funeral home.
