Charles F. "Junior" Yorks, Jr., 93, of McAlisterville, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his residence.

Born on March 22, 1932 in Mifflintown, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Charles Foster Sr. and Alice R. (Willoughby) Yorks.

On March 25, 1951, he married his surviving wife, Orpha (Spriggle) Yorks, with whom he was blessed to share over 74 years of marriage before his passing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Marvin S. Yorks and his wife Nancy and Barbara D. Varner and her husband Tony, all of McAlisterville ; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn granddaughter, Morgan Varner.

Mr. Yorks is a 1950 graduate of Fayette Twp. High School and also honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Junior was employed and retired as a sewing machine mechanic for several local garment factories.

He was a member and had attended the McAlisterville United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan; however, spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren was his true love.

Memorial services are currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Yorks' memory to the McAlisterville Senior Citizens Center, 158 Lions Den Drive, McAlisterville, PA 17049.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
