Charles A. Zettle of Green Forest, Arkansas, was born March 26, 1942, in Orangeville, Illinois, to Elwyn and Florence (Bartle) Zettle. Charles passed away March 23, 2023, in Berryville at the age of 80.
Charles grew up in Chicago where he became a lifelong Cubs fan. He was in the Army for over 20 years where he worked in radio for AFN and FEN. After Charles's military retirement, he continued to work in radio. He enjoyed traveling, sports, old movies, comedy, history, and coin collecting. He had a great love for animals, especially his rescue dogs.
Charles is survived by Ann (Montgomery) Zettle who he married on April 7, 1972. He is also survived by his daughter Carla McGough and her husband Justin; grandsons Jackson, Jefferson, and Jonathan; sister Diane Traina; along with other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elwyn and Florence Zettle and his brother Larry Zettle.
We will miss Chuck and will love him always.
