Charlie Amos, Jr. was born to the late Deacon Charlie Amos, Sr. and the late Ella Mae King Amos on October 16, 1947, in Mitchell County, Georgia.

At an early age he confessed CHRIST and the united with the Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Baconton, Georgia.

He attended Camilla School and started working at an early age to help his father and worked over 30 years self-employed Wood Logging.

Charlie was a lifelong sports enthusiast, with a deep love for football, basketball, and baseball. Whether cheering for his favorite team or analyzing every play, his passion was contagious. Game days were his happiest days. You couldn't visit with him long if you didn't know the sport to have something to converse about.

Charlie had a very sharp memory of knowing everybody birthdays and events on the Amos, King, Bush, and Bell side of the family.

He was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Linda Bell Amos in 1968. To this union four children were born.

Surrounded by his love ones, Charlie departed this life on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Archbold Living of Pelham, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Bell-Amos and one brother, Tommy Lee Amos.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to his three daughters, Linda Sue Amos, Gaile Amos both of Baconton, Georgia, and Brenda Amos-Wade (Michael), and one son, Charlie Amos, III both of Camilla, Georgia; five grandchildren in which one he reared as his own, Ontarrius (Jazmin) Amos of Oxford, Georgia, and a nephew he reared as his own, Jimmy Amos (Latreshia) of Thomasville, Georgia, Pristephanie Amos of Albany, Georgia, Aschiaa Davis of Camilla, Georgia, and Desmond Daniels of Baconton, Georgia; eight great-grandchildren, Jarard, Jade, Kayden, Lalia, Kyler, Kaleb, Taelyn, and Ice'Lynn; four sisters, Ella Rose Amos-Edwards, Lula Mae Amos-Silas (James), both of Camilla, Georgia, Rosa Amos-Brown (Thomas) of Miami, Florida, Marie Amos-Simmons of Kansas City, Missouri, one brother, Bennie Amos (Glenda) of Newton, Georgia; one uncle, Sylvester King of St. Peterburg, Florida; one aunt, Minnie Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jean Ross and Elizabeth Taylor-Bell both of Camilla, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Amos Bell (Chyleen) of Albany, Georgia, and five cousins that he love as a big brother, Cora, Barbara, Glenda, Charlie, and Winston Bush, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
