Charlie Daye

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlie Daye, better known as Chad. Chad, 84 passed away at his home surrounded by the love of his family on October 7, 2025. He was born in Alamance County to Eugene Daye and Ida Cash Daye on August 3, 1941. He was a graduate of Jordan-Sellars High School and was a Navy Veteran. Chad loved to travel to exotic islands, cruise around in his clean vehicles…always donning a fitted baseball hat. To know him was to love him and to those who did, they will dearly miss his love and presence.
He leaves loving memories to his son Charlie V. Daye; three grandchildren: Elijah, Sienna and Jasmine; his last surviving brother Earl Daye and his wife Gearldine as well as a host of niece, nephews other relatives and friends.
In his passing he now joins his parents Eugene Daye and Ida Cash Daye and siblings: Robert Daye, Gracie Murphy, Gladys McGill, Eugene Daye, Milon Daye, Walter Daye, Francis Daye and Prince Daye.
There will be no formal services for Chad, per his request. We ask that you would celebrate his life in the ways that you shared memories together.
