Paul Wofford Baldwin

November 8, 2025, God's angel entered the room of Paul Wofford Baldwin at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC and carried him to his permanent home with Christ. He battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges. Despite the pain Paul came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Paul was born on March 11, 1959 in Burlington, NC. Paul was the son of the late Cleatus and Iona Baldwin. He attended school in Burlington, where he built the foundation for a life filled with hardworking, humor and a genuine love for connecting with others. He built his career as a chef, a profession perfectly suited to his generous spirit and love of people in every kitchen he entered.

Paul had no children, but he had a big family that loved him dearly. His siblings, Glenda (Nate) Parker of Jamaica, NY, Patricia (Rev. Charlie) Corbett of Durham, NC, Bonnie (Richard) Melvin of Fayetteville, NC, Peggy Barr of Burlington, NC and Deborah (Dwight) Murphy of Greensboro, NC; two aunts, Willie Nickerson of Hillsborough, NC and Neil Horton of Pittsboro, NC along with a bonus sister, Gayle Poteat of Burlington, NC, 17 nieces and nephews and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Crisp and Cleatus H. Baldwin, Jr. and one sister, Gloria Crawford.
