Charlie Amos "Zeke" Dishman was born September 14, 1941, and departed this life August 18, 2025, reaching the age of 83 years. He was the son of the late James H. and Ellie (McGinnis) Dishman.

He married Eva Peavy on November 24, 1962, and two children were born to this union.

He is survived by: his wife, Eva Dishman; two daughters, Brenda (and David) Dishman of Monticello, KY and Tina (and Jason) Fox of Shopville, KY; two grandchildren, Jennifer Keith and Ashley Dishman; and three great grandchildren, Abby Ayers, Natalie Keith, and Addison Owens. He is also survived by: five siblings, Nancy Rains, JoAnn Catron, Julen Dishman, Joseph Dishman and Jody Dishman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Bob and Ellie Dishman, he was preceded in death by: seven siblings, Dicie Harmon, Lindsey Dishman, Andy Dishman, Fairzetta Stinson, Julie Asbury, Simon Todd Dishman, Mollie Dishman.

Zeke loved gardening, fishing, hunting and storytelling. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Gap Creek Cemetery.
