Virgil Junior Malone was born April 23, 1968, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, reaching the age of 57 years. He was the son of Virgil Milby and Trula (Lee) Malone.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathy Faye (Brown) Malone; two daughters, Heather and Amanda Wallace; his parents, Virgil Milby and Trula (Lee) Malone; one sister, Misty Malone; and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025, between 11 am and 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Cornelius Duncan and Pastor Maggie Anna Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Top Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Virgil Junior Malone Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
