Charlie L. "Chip" Neese, Jr., 67, of Pine Mountain, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Neese was born July 29, 1958, in Newnan, son of the late Charlie Loy Neese and Lois Driver Neese. He was a 1976 graduate of Altus High School in Altus, OK, where he played basketball, and also attended Georgia Southern University. He had worked in construction and as a hardwood flooring installer, retired from United Parcel Service in Lowell, MA after 15 years of service, and lived in Lowell for 20 years before returning to the West Georgia area. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, was a prolific songwriter, was a talented guitarist, and loved music.

Survivors include his son, Roylee Neese of Portland, ME; step-daughter, Amber Clark and step-son, Ian DeLeon, both of LaGrange; sister, Regina Phillips and her husband Sid of LaGrange; brother, Monroe J. "Monty" Neese and his wife Lora of Pine Mountain; and nephews, David Phillips, Josh Neese, and Jeremy Neese. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, John Phillips.

Plans for a graveside committal service in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville will be announced.

Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
