He was born on September 23, 1952 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Laverne and Maxine (Wagner) Ottum. He grew up in Eau Claire, WI.
He entered the Army in October of 1969 and was honorably discharged in August of 1973. Clayton "Charlie" Ottum loved his truck, fishing, hunting, playing his guitar and football. He loved his family very much.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters", Michelle Ottum, Krystyn (William) Reichle, Jessie Ottum and one son, Christopher Ottum.
Eight grandchildren, Jacob Allen, Syndria Hebel, Cayden and Cynthia Reichle, Gracelyn Ottum, Hannah Bunyea, Jody Belmont, Mollie (Matt) Burton;
Five great-grandchildren;
Three sisters, Nancy (Randy) Anibas, Dianne Bauer, and Jean Simonson;
And several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laverne and Maxine; Wife, Joyce (Lawson) Ottum; Brothers, Fritz Ottum, Brion Ottum, and Dale Ottum;
Sister, Darlene Ida.
Cremation was chosen with no services planned.
