*April 24, 1947 – September 24, 2025* With heavy hearts, the family of Charlie Williams announces his passing on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Montezuma, Georgia, Charlie was a beloved resident of Ellenwood, Georgia, where he made a profound impact on all who knew him. Charlie spent his career working at MARTA, where he was not only a dedicated employee but also a cherished colleague and friend to many. His work ethic and commitment were unwavering, and his presence brought joy and laughter to all around him. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Rainbow Park Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Charlie's spirit will be honored as family and friends gather to remember the wonderful moments and lasting memories he gave to so many. Following the service, Charlie will be lovingly laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia, at 2:30 pm. His legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched. The family will host a repast at the Willie A Watkins Event Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia, at 3:00 pm, where stories of Charlie's remarkable life will be shared, and his vibrant spirit celebrated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory - South Dekalb. Charlie's family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Charlie Williams will be dearly missed, but his light and kindness will be remembered forever by all who had the honor of knowing him. This service will be recorded and streamed live.
