Funeral service for Charlie Winchester, age 54, of Cumby, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Cody Winchester, Randy Winchester, Shawn Moore, Leslie Spears, Osvaldo Rojas, and Bobby Moody serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Ward and Eusebio Vazquez. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A graveside will be held at a later date at New Salem Cemetery in Centerville, Texas. Mr. Winchester passed away on August 11, 2023 at the Christus Mother Francis Hospital of Sulphur Springs.
Charlie was born December 31, 1968, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Charlie and Sandra (Woodard) Winchester. He married Karen Sue (Richardson) Winchester on November 28, 2014. After completing some college courses he went on to work as a truck driver for Farmer’s Co-Op.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Winchester of Cumby, TX; sons, Cody Winchester and wife Jessica of Cumby, TX, Randy Winchester of Chandler, TX; daughters, Ashley Farnam of Lindale, TX, Makayla Truitt of Cumby, TX, Chasity Winchester of Mineola, TX, and Dusty Clark; brothers, Grady Winchester, Dustin Winchester, and Charles Murtz; sister, Paula Murtz ; aunt, Linda Deas; as well as numerous grandchildren, and multiple cousins.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sandra Winchester.
