Charlotte Lynn Gentry Arivett of Fayetteville, TN and member of The Rock, age 66, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away quietly and unexpectedly on Friday, February 21, 2025, while visiting her sister, Barbara, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Born on November 19, 1958, in De Queen, Arkansas, Charlotte lived a life filled with faith, love, and an inescapable enthusiasm for everything she pursued. She attended the Assembly of God Church in De Queen, where she found joy in serving through women's ministries. She also shared her wisdom and kindness by teaching valued friends at her local senior center, always finding ways to uplift and support those around her.
Charlotte was a talented entrepreneur, pouring her creativity and care into Charlotte's Cake and Bridal Shop in De Queen. She embraced life's simple joys-cherishing time with family and friends, playing card and board games, and searching for hidden treasures while thrift shopping. Her generous heart and unwavering faith touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Gentry and Chloe Ransom Hawthorne; her step-father, Edward Hawthorne; her brothers, Joel Gentry and Benny Gentry; and her sister, Glenda Hollers.
Charlotte's legacy of love and devotion lives on through her children, Brock Arivett and his wife Deanna, and Shawna Ratliff and her husband Justin; her siblings, Johnny Gentry, Lyndell Gentry, Barbara Darity, Don Gentry, Garen Gentry, Karen Beene, and Loretta Gentry Lake; and her treasured grandchildren, Isabella Arivett, Aubrey Ratliff, and Xavier Arivett.
A funeral service to honor Charlotte's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, with Bro. Travis McKamie officiating. Interment will follow at McHorse Cemetery in Lockesburg, AR, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
