Deborah Kay Arivett, age 67, of Kirby, departed this life to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023, or as her longtime friend, Joe Pervis, would say, "She met Jesus."
She was born on May 22, 1956, the daughter of Edwin F. Arivett and Betty Zane Orrick Arivett. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Deborah was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. During her working career she spent it as a legal assistant and secretary at multiple law firms in Little Rock. She was an accomplished singer and performer since the age of three. Deborah was well known for thirty-six years of the Pulaski County Bar Association Gridiron shows of which she was a featured performer. She was a member of the popular Little Rock band, Little Joe, and the BK's for fourteen years prior to her stroke in 2007. She was the featured Saturday night performer at Easy Street in Little Rock. Deborah will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brother, Scott Arivett of Kirby, and her special friends who helped in the later years of her life.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Self and Bro. Kyle Cowart officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
Pallbearers will be Andy Wood, Danny Turner, Ronald Parker, Eddie Arivett, Kyle Cowart, and Richard Kalkbrenner.
