Charlotte Ann Carter Baucom, 71, of Concord, transitioned from life on earth to her everlasting home with her Lord Jesus Christ, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born June 18, 1953 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Lester Emmett Carter and the late Annie Pearl Carter.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Wayne Baucom. They had been married for 25 years.
Charlotte came from a large and loving family. She was the youngest of six children including Brenda, Linda, Carolyn, Jack, and Judy. Charlotte graduated from Concord High School in 1971. Her first job was at Cannon Mills in Kannapolis. She held several different positions there including spooler tender (and trainer), and in the sheets department. After the mill, she worked at Winn Dixie in the deli for a few years until she got a position at CB Drug in Harrisburg. She worked there doing various assembly and packing jobs. Her last employer was Pass and Seymour/LeGrand in Concord. She worked on the G3 line until her retirement.
Charlotte's favorite hobby was gardening. She loved listening to hymns and sad country music. She also loved to cook, especially for her family. And anyone who knew her well knows how much she loved thrift store shopping! If it was a good deal, she had to get it!
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 11:30 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord and will be officiated by Pastor Jason Pierce. Burial will follow at the West Lawn Memorial Park at 1350 S. Main St., China Grove.
