Charlotte A. Bercaw, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Hospice of Hamilton.
Born on November 19, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charlotte was raised on a farm in Mason and graduated from Mason High School in 1958. She spent much of her life in the Warren County area, living for over twenty years in Lebanon before returning to her hometown of Mason.
Charlotte embarked on her professional journey as a secretary at Darling Company, later transitioning to the role of legal secretary for attorney Mark Clark. She continued her career as a secretary for Lebanon City Schools and ultimately concluded her professional life with the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office. Charlotte was celebrated for her warm personality, exceptional organizational skills, and unwavering dedication to her work.
Charlotte had a passion for cooking, entertaining, and shopping. She also enjoyed attending concerts and dining at local restaurants. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, creating many fond memories through her love of hosting and hospitality.
Charlotte is survived by her beloved children, Gregory D. (Kelly) Erbeck and Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” (Ryan Oeder) Erbeck; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan (Jessica) Scott, Cassandra “Cassy” (Jacob Boberg) Erbeck, Logan Miller, and Finley Erbeck; and her loving sister, Janet Johnson (Richard, deceased).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert E. and Dorothy B. (née Spinner) Schutte, and her former husband, Bill Bercaw.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 12:00 pm until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH.
