Charlotte Cogar Obituary
She was born in Ravenswood, West Virginia to the late John William Barber and Clara Kathleen Hunt Barber. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Mary Archer Barber, Howard and Anise Casto Hunt; sister, Linda Barber Stephens and niece, Erin Barber.
Charlotte was retired from Union Carbide Corp. She was also a member of the St. Albans Women's Club.
Surviving is her loving husband of 41 years, Jerry C. Cogar; daughter, Jennifer Cogar; sons, Bernard Cogar (June), Michael Cogar (Tina), Andy Cogar (Stacie)and Benjamin Cogar (Candy); brother, Jay Barber; grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily), Madison (Noah), Tyler, Hannah, Samantha and Jackson; great granddaughter, Zoey Mae. Also surviving are her nephews, Shannon Stephens, Seth Stephens (Charlotte), Benjamin Barber (Brittany) and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home in St. Albans, with Rev. Steve Harvey officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service.
Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026 at Creston Cemetery, Evans.
